Santa Rosa National Park is one of Costa Rica’s areas with the greatest historic importance: the Battle of Santa Rosa, a national heroic moment, took place March 20th 1856, in this National Park near La Casona and the Stone Corrals.
The park is also fundamental for the protection and restoration of the clime’s habitats. Beach Nancite and Beach Naranjo for example have great scenic beauty, but are also an major area for sea turtle nesting.
