


This biological private reserve is a magnificent place to have extreme contact with the forest and its surroundings, here we will find trails through the jungle to hike and make wonderful discoveries within it.
After a one hour trip on a four wheel drive truck through mountain paths, we will get to the Station of Pocosol, a scientific center created for the research of flora and fauna and which is located by the side a volcanic origin lagoon at 1100 above sea level. The purpose of visiting the area is to hike through a trail for 4 hours admiring the primary forest and the volcanic soil with its fumaroles.
This research center is part of the reserve Children’s Eternal rainforest, which is administered by the Monteverde Conservationist Association, and holds 22.000 hectares of protected forest. It is also one of the most important and old reserves of Central America.
Departure time in the morning: 7:30am approx. Return: 4:00am.
What you’ll need to bring: Hiking shoes, clothes change, raincoat, insect repellent, camera.
We’ll include: transportation from hotel, entrance to reserve, certified nature guide, lunch, water and drinks plus material with supporting information.
