Cano Island is located 15 km. off the coast of the Osa Penninsula.

The indigenous people of this region crossed the sea in small boats in order toperform rituals on this island.

This area is rich in colorful fish such as parrot fish, surgeon fish, barber fish, eels,snapper, balloon fish, barracudas, manta rays, turtles and small tip white sharks.Bottle-nosed dolphins and humpback whales can also be seen occasionally.
